Candle Care & Safety
-
NEVER burn a candle longer than our recommended times, no more than 3 hours is recommended for a small candle + 5 hours for a large candle. Allow wax to completely cool before relighting giving a minimum of 8 hour break in-between burns.
- For first burn allow melt pool (Liquid wax) to reach edges of glass jar, this will ensure maximum fragrance and efficiency of your candle.
- Place jar on a stable, heat-resistant surface away from flammable objects and drafts. Keep candle away from objects that may fall into candle. Never burn candle if foreign objects fall inside jar.
- Never use water to extinguish candle.
- Keep candle away from anything that could catch fire. Keep away from drafts, moisture and water.
- Never move candle while burning or if there's liquid wax, ensure wax is solid before handling.
- Do not touch wax when in liquid state.
- Do not use lid to extinguish candle.
- Always ensure your wicks remain upright. Never allow a candle flame to become in contact with the side of the glassware.
- Never leave a burning candle unattended. Jar may be hot when in use. Never move or touch a burning candle.
- Trim the wick to 5mm tall before every burn. We strongly recommend using a candle snuffer to extinguish candle.
- Candle is finished when 1cm of wax remains at the bottom of the jar. DO NOT BURN LOWER THAN THIS.
