About Florense:

At Florense, we embody the grace of florals and the enchantment of aromas, crafting not merely products, but experiences that enrich your living spaces. We’re a small, locally owned business passionate about craft and locally hand-made products. We specialise in home fragrances and hand-painted glassware.

Hi, I’m Kara and I paint glassware from my little corner of regional NSW 🌸

Every piece is hand-painted by me, inspired by the florals, pastel colours and natural landscapes that surround us. Think soft blooms, warm sunsets, colourful bouquets and those beautiful in-between shades. That’s what I try to capture on every glass.

No two pieces are ever exactly the same, each one has its own personality, brushstrokes and little details that make it special. They’re made to be, gifted, celebrated with and enjoyed for occasional use. Whether it’s for a wedding, a girls’ night, a thoughtful present or just because you love pretty things, these glasses are designed to make everyday moments feel a bit more beautiful.

Alongside the glassware, I also pour our reed diffusers by hand. Designed to complement the artwork, they’re inspired by the same love of florals, warmth and the natural beauty of regional life. Soft, welcoming scents paired with beautifully finished vessels and designed labels, made to bring calm, colour and a little country charm into your home.

Painted slowly, thoughtfully and with lots of heart,  right here in regional New South Wales. 

How'd we come up with our name?

'Florense' combines the delicacy of 'Flor'—flowers that inspire our exclusive glassware collection—with 'ense,' representing the captivating scents embedded within our candles and home fragrances. Pronounced like the city "Florence".

A bit about me:

Wife to Jamie and mum of 2 boys. Born and raised in Tamworth. I have worked as Store Manager in a few different fashion retailers and worked on and off at my parents' printer business since I was 13! This year (2022), my husband and I became the new owners of Cartridges 2340 (@the_printer_shop), buying the business from my parents and also expanding Wick + Wax Candle.

I’ve always loved all kinds of crafting. Sewing (love the finished product but I actually hate sewing itself 🤷♀️) crochet, knitting, scrap booking, candle making (obviously), painting, drawing, jewellery making.
